The NRAEF understands the importance of scholarships and is committed to making them accessible. We offer a variety of merit-based scholarships to students who want an education and a career in the foodservice industry as well as professional development scholarships for restaurant and foodservice educators.
The NRAEF has awarded all of its 2009 scholarships at this time.
Scholarships for first-time freshmen >>
You may be eligible for these scholarships if you are or will be a high school graduate or GED graduate.
High School/GED Graduate
This scholarship is for students who will be first-time freshmen including graduating high school seniors, GED graduates and high school graduates enrolling in college for the first time.

This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who have received their ProStart® National Certificate of Achievement. High school juniors and sophomores cannot apply until their senior year.

Coca-Cola Salute to Excellence Scholarship

Al Schuman Ecolab Undergraduate Entrepreneurial Scholarship
Established to support high school seniors and undergraduates with a business management focus and an entrepreneurial spirit. This was established to award scholarships to qualified students who are committed to their education and careers in the restaurant and foodservice industry while demonstrating a strong entrepreneurial commitment. This scholarship is for students who attend a select list of schools. Please read the application instructions to see if your school is on the list and for more information.

GRI/Giacomo Bologna Scholarship
The NRAEF and Gruppo Ristoratori Italiani (GRI) will award up to 6 students with an all-expense-paid trip from New York to Italy.
The scholarship offered will provide the opportunity for students to travel to Italy for a week and participate in various culinary and restaurant industry related classes and tours. During this program, students will be offered a first-hand experience in Italian winemaking and cooking. Each year, GRI organizes a unique experience for the students that highlights a region in Italy
GRI is a not-for-profit association dedicated to promoting knowledge of authentic Italian food and wine through education.

Challenging economic conditions have required us to temporarily discontinue the NRAEF Professional Development Scholarships for Educators We remain focused on providing resources to students and educators and hope to resume the scholarship for educators in 2011.
