Scholarships > GRI

The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and GRI/Giacomo Bologna will award recipients with an all expense paid trip from New York to Italy under the auspices of GRI on an educational culinary/wine seminar or viticulture workshop. Gruppo Ristoratori Italiani (GRI) is a not-for-profit association dedicated to promoting knowledge of authentic Italian food and wine through education.

Last year, 6 students traveled to Italy to learn about viticulture. During this program, students were offered a first hand experience in Italian winemaking while staying in a well-known Italian winery. Activities ranged from cheese tasting and cooking with risottos to learning about wine areas and production in Italy. This year's dates are to be determined, but will be held in the late spring to early summer.
